The way Davenport talked about the Venus/Molik match-up, basically saying "Oh Venus will definitely win" and basically not giving any chance to Molik and disrespecting her talent. Will Davenport pay for this? Stay tuned. :worship:

i think if Lindsay plays decent, she will be too consistent for molik, but if molik is playing amazing then i say she does have a chance

Giving Lindsay due respect, they asked her opinion and she thought Venus would win - granted going by opponents most people would have thought Venus might have outpowered her - so it wasn't technically all her fault.

In all her previous interviews, Lindsay has given Alicia the credit she deserves - can't say the same for most of the commentators though :) They were mentioning it on ABC radio the other night *g*

But I still think that the professional way to handle this question is not to pick a winner. She could have said "oh it will be an interesting & competitive match, maybe Venus' experience will give her an edge" or something like that. But she litterally said that Molik isn't good enough, which is disrespectful in my opinion.

I think Davenport will be "too strong for Molik on both sides" ;).

No. If Lindsay plays well, there's nothing Molik can do.

She could try, but I don't see this upset happening. Didn't see Molik beating Venus too despite being more possible to happen. It will depend on how both will play, especially on Davenport's game.

Lindsay will be way to heavy off the ground and serve and alicia will be the one getting punnished 6-3 7-5 i reckon

Lindsay might have felt the need to be 'compatriotic'. Maybe she was also hoping for a venus win coz she is confident about beating her.

it's just an opinion from Lindsay, obviously she should not be punished i think;)

Davenport doesn't need to play near her best to win this one. She didn't the last time they met, and she still won 1 and 0. Schnyder is the one Lindsay is probably the most wary of in that half.

molik has improved a lot, I think their chances are 50/50.

Alicia won't win to make Lindsay pay... she'll win because she wants to get to the semis and further into the top ten and even win [the winner of this match certainly looks like being a finalist].
