View Full Version : Maja Matevzic to start training again in 3 weeks

Maja could only play in two tournaments last year ($75K Ortisei and the Olympics) and finally had surgery last November in her elbow.

Now she's about to start training again :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

not to be too much of a pessimist but don't count on it. Elbow injuries are the worst thing that can happen to a tennis player. Barbara Schwartz's career has been totally ruined, she has had three or four surgeries with only limited success. Schwartz had been injured for most of the last five years, and Matezvic has a similar injury and has already been out for a year and a half, had some surgeries and tried unsuccessfully to come back. And also Iroda Tulyaganova is in the same boat, she's out of action for 2 years already.

So i'm not too optimistic for any of these 3, who are all great talents.

Yes i wait with baited breath, but its such a horrible injury to have

Let's hope all three can make a comeback :)

Maja :)

P.S. Grande has been trying for ages to come back from an elbow injury

Will be good to see Maja back - can't believe she hasn't played a WTA tour event in a year. Hope she can get back high into the rankings.
