Ik denk dat Leslie en Evelyne beter af zijn met een kwalificatie-wildcard. Dan hebben ze nog een (kleine) kans op wat punten!

In the pdg site, they only list the players for those pre-qualifying with, on the left side, the 4 seeds ranked by their WTA ranking and on the right side, the 4 others ranked by name. But it's only a list, not the draw. I remember last year they did the same and everybody thought it was the draw but the draw came a week later and it wasn't the same. VRT txt did the mistake last year and they did again this time.

Erm, this is on the site:
"De loting van de Belgian pre-qualifying is ook gebeurd. Butkiewicz treft Bastianon. Van Hyfte neemt het op tegen Bailly. Feys ontmoet Claes. Maes geeft De Vries partij. (Bekijk de volledige loting)"

So I DO think this is the draw!
And I'm rooting for Butkiewicz, Van Hyfte, Claes and De Vries :worship:

If the same happens as last year, all the belgians will have a place in qualifying... Let's hope so.

The third wildcard will go to Dechy or Schnyder. But there's a chance both will get one because Dokic retired yesterday because of an injury.

I really hope Jelena can get fit again...
And I hope at least one of the Belgian girls can do something in the quallies, but that's prolly a bit too much of the old wishful thinking

He's probably thinking a bout the Hasselt tournament where there was not enough players to complete the qualifying draw so they fill it with Belgian players even those who lost in the pre-qualifying. I don't think that could happen in antwerp where everybody wants to play, even in the qualies.

I think Farina retired in Paris because she final points to defend in Antwerp (lost last year to Kim in the final)...

Maybe she wasn't 100% fit and she wouldn't take any risk...

That's my thought ;)

Caroline played a very good match! She got a lot of support from the crowd (and Kim, who was watching the match, well actively during the first set anyway)

However, near the end of the match, she had some bad line calls and the umpire even made her replay a point, even though it was obviously out

I hope Caroline will be able to maintain this level throughout the rest of the season so she will rise again in the rankings  :)

Eveline and Leslie really disappointed me yesterday :tape: Leslie didn't even try and Eveline gave a lazy impression. She didn't run for a lot of balls even I would have returned. If this is the final year Vanhyfte has the chance to prove herself, then I fear we won't see much of her in 2006 anymore :awww:

Shana Claes, on the other hand, surprised me in a good way! The girl has top 500 potential if she doesn't lose her fighting skills :armed:

It's not Eveline's last year ;) She goes on for at least 3 more years. I thought Eveline was clearly the better player out there on the court, making the shots, but the mental aspect... :tape: :tape: :tape: and yeah, she was slow at some dropshots... :o

I don't think Eveline was the better player :( Yeah she can hit harder than Husarova, but tactically she was the inferior player by far. Husarova sure found her winning formula with the zillion dropshots :bolt:
Eveline's mental issues seem to go beyond winning 3-setters... She often has problems with converting matchpoints/setpoints + the way she lost that 5-1 lead yesterday was just awful to see
Let's hope she'll do well in the $25k's this year. I'm sure she can reach a QF or maybe even a SF in this category of tournaments :) Oh and a $10k win would be nice too  Good luck :bounce:
