That's a painful loss for Shino....She deserved to win that match...you hate to see an injury time-out called at that point in a match....Poor Shino...

Brunof hits head with open palm. I'm so angry right now! Oh man!

Best of luck to Shinobu in the following weeks however...It's time to step it up and win one of these finals!

well done kata :yeah: :woohoo: :hatoff:
looks like she's finally found a good coach ;)

so much talent in her, gone wasted over the years let's hope she's finally ready to rise up the rankings

and some quality players she beat ( jidkova, krasnoroutskaya, bartoli and asagoe )

Jan 8th, 2005, 10:49 AM
Congrats Kata :D

Congrats to her! :)

Well, well, it looks like Biljana Veselinovic actually might be a good coach after all.

Shinobu
What a choke
You will never win a title if you keep choking like this!
Every time she had a break she couldnt really hold on to it either. She needs to get mentally stronger.

Jan 8th, 2005, 01:55 PM
I like both nearly the same, maybe Asagoe a bit more, but I think Shinobu hardly choked, it is more that her style of play is so hard, because she has to fight for every point that you cannot say it was a choke or not....

Still WD both!

Congratulations to Katarina (it was about time for some good results) and good luck next time to Asagoe - well, at least she got doubles title as a consolation prize ;).

I'm liking the new coach & new doubles partner for K. more and more ... :D

Last year I thought Katerina is done. Seems she is not. Well done :yeah:

Wow Katarina:worship: What a great start to the New Year. To win both singles and doubles at a tournament that has been so disrupted by bad weather and have to play several matches in a day makes this an even more special victory :bounce:
