Nemeckova def. Beygelzimer 6-3 2-6 6-4
this was a very long match. Afterwards there wasn't time for Viratprasert and Voskoboeva to play. They'll have their match at noon tomorrow. The winner of this match will have to play again tomorrow though, against Nemeckova.
Ivanovic def. Calderwood 6-3 6-2
I didn't see this match but I saw Ivanovic on the practice court and she's playing very well.
Vierin def. Bohmova 4-6 6-2 6-3
This game started very close but Vierin finally won the struggle. Not very convincing ... I think she should be easily beaten by Ivanovic tomorrow.
Czink def. Wheeler 6-3 7-5
very easy for Czink. She's an ice queen! Afterwards she caused a few arguments on the practice courts. Thinks she owns the place!
Ani def. Obata 6-3 3-6 6-3
A very close match. Obata was tactically superior but overpowered. Ani was very moody though.
Kloesel def. Dominguez Lino 6-1 6-4
A funny match because of their different styles. Litle Dominguez Lino fought back but it was too late.
Bychkova def. Kleinova 6-1 7-6
Bychkova has fantastic serve. Kleinova has superb ground strokes but not very good serve. Kleinova took a long time to become accustomed to the Aussie conditions and she lost her temper too often. Bychkova seems to freeze under pressure when serving for a set but she got there in the end.
Nakamura def. Alves 6-3 4-6 6-2
Nakamura very impressive. Alves took some time to get into the game and won a tight second set, but Nakamura had more class in the third.
Sescioreanu def Tamaela 4-6 6-3 6-0
I can't quite remember the score, but Tamaela got an injury (seemed to be torn muscle in thigh, she said she felt it go before the match) and she wasn't any good afterwards, especially in the third set. It was a very close match before this. Sescioreanu has very heavy ground strokes. Tamaela's lefty game is filled with flashy brilliant shots. Unfortunately the match was ruined when Elise's injury worsened.

Saori :bigcry: :banghead:
I was hoping for a couple of wins before the Aussie Open, with all those points to be defended :(
BTW, her last win was over Birnerova in the first round of Wimbledon, and she has lost 12 matches in a row
