LI Na's not here  but at least most Chinese are :D .

It nearly looks like a Japanese - Chinese tournament.

I wonder why there are so many Japanese players ;) .

Good also to see some Thai players coming :) .

I had not even realised : Yuka Yoshida should be here too :D .

This is ridiculous!!!

Only 2 aussies, Monique Adamzcak and Lauren Cheung!

This is one of the cheapest, most economical places for Aussies to fly to yet no players want to go to pick up some of the easiest $25K tournament points they can get as the field is very weak here!

I can't understand this! Kristen van elden, Sam Stosur, Annabel Ellwood, Jaslyn Hewitt, Michelle Summerside, should all be here!

The rankings are certainly lower than last year but the field is not as weak as it seems :) . The rankings do not reflect the level of the players as far as China is concerned and the Fed Cup in Guang Zhou earlier this month proved it with China crushing all their opponents :D , including players around the 100 spot.

I agree though it's a pity that not more players are coming from Australia.

I see that Shelley (NZL) is coming one more time here and some players are coming back for the 3rd year in a row. Not only is the place cheap but fun too. I have heard only positive feedback from players I talked to about this tourney. They really enjoy it.

Maybe the late publication of this event in the ITF tournaments schedule is the reason why there are not more Australian players  .

Nope, but you can ask me if you are looking for some information during the tournament :) .

Luke, could you please remove Shelley in the list above? It keeps reminding me that she has withdrawn for Dinan  .

Hi Jiro :wavey: ,

I saw yesterday you were still up late waiting for the score and it was actually available on the Sanex WTA Tour site. Which is why I posted it ;) .

I will most probably see your friends on Saturday morning. I guess they will be arriving from Bangkok with the Thai Airways evening flight, right :) .

Just in case and if you have time, can you please tell them, in case transportation to the hotel is not provided :

- at the airport, they should take a AIRPORT TAXI. It is widely available
- they should go by the meter and insist for the taxi to start the meter. No need to negociate. In 90% of the cases, they would end up losing.
- they should not forget to change a little bit of money at the airport, would it be only to pay the taxi fare (around Vietnam Dong 45,000 to Vietnam Dong 55,000 from the airport to the hotel. As an indication USD 1 = VND 15,130 approximately).
- Taxi drivers usually can speak English quite well (in particular with AIRPORT Taxi), so there should not be too much of a problem.

If they have any problem at any time, they can just give me a ring (though I know that a representative from the ITF will be arriving on Thursday and be staying at the same hotel). I'll be sending you my contact details by PM that you can forward to them.
