Shuai Peng has 52 points coming off in December and Jie Zheng has 57 points coming off in December as well. All of the Chinese girls are done for the year, so once those points come off Na Li will end the year as the #1 womens Chinese tennis player!:D This means she'll have a berth on the Chinese national team, and more importantly, she'll have many more chances to actually go and play outside of China.

Well done Na!

I'm sorry to inform you this.. but I think Zheng is playing at a 75K tournament. Unless she loses in the first round, it is unlikely she'll drop that much in the rankings as she is the second seed.

Funny though cos Li and Peng are both not in that tournament despite being able to qualify for the main draw...

Have the commits for Dubai come out? As far as I know, Na Li, as well as Yan Zi have withdraw from Poitiers.

Any ideas why they withdrew?

I was wondering if Li can play as well overseas as when she's at her own country...

Na Li will be way ahead of these next yr anyway.

BTW ...the end of year ranks are this week (Nov 15)
these ranks are gonna be put on the players records, not Dec 27 ranks. ;)
