What's with all these ad's claiming the cigs they sell in NYC/NY are firesafe to save lives? They say they sell them no where else. I'm confused, what exactly is a firesafe cig and how the hell can you smoke it if it's firesafe? :confused:

i just saw that ad too, i think firesafe means if u drop it on the carpet on paper it doesnt start a fire

A firesafe cigarette is just less likely than the "normal" cigarette to ignite a fire. There are tiny "bumps" that are located on the paper of a firesafe cigarette and therefore if its left unattended then it will go out, thus reducing the possibly of an unattended cigarette to ignite a fire..
