I used to prefer Opera until I realised it was crap. Something to do with the cache and max connections settings. Firefox is nice. :)

Yes, knowing a lot about computers and technology makes you look interesting and helps you make friends. :)

My only complaint thus far.... my fave theme 'Phoenity' hasn't been updated to support itself in 1.0. :(

That explains my unfortunate situation.

I can't even send a stupid pic from my phone to my email.

That is true about Opera :( I'm still using it though as I'm too lazy to change :o

Why can't you change the size of the cache in Opera?

I quite like the new google wp: www.google.ca/firefox

I haven't tried out this version of firefox yet though. Too tired to figure out how to compile and install it in this messy system. :(

:(

After spending all night compiling the damn thing, it turned out I can't open it because it collides with another older version of firebird I had in my system and forgot about.

So, I removed firebird now and have to recompile and install firefox again. I will let you know how it went in about ... umm... another 7 hours or so.

Can you elaborate?

I used to start getting lots of 'page could not be found' messages after a certain amount of time online, to the point where the connection seemed to basically dead, except that I could always get wtaworld.com, for some reason. The only way to fix it was to reboot. Even closing Opera and going into IE didn't help. For ages I thought it was the connection, or the modem, but it kept happening after I changed ISP. It was very annoying. Apparently some other people had the same thing, and fixed it by changing those settings, but I only found out about the same time I tried Firefox, so I didn't bother fixing it.

I suppose if you don't get that problem Opera is OK. :)

I didn't. I just switched to Firefox. :p

Apparently there was something about it on the Opera forum ( http://my.opera.com/forums/ ), maybe have a search on there. :)

I have that problem as well. Does anyone know what settings exactly need to be changed? I tried the Opera forum but there are like 893843048 topics there :p

Anyone? :awww:

I don't know the answer either.

But I have the same problem. My internet literally dies. Even if I disconnect and reconnect, I just click a link and it says "Page cannot be opened" straight away, without it even trying to load.

It tends to happen when I am using bittorrent.

For me it happens when I'm not using my connection for a while. Say if I leave my computer on at night and wake up at like 4 am or so and I want to check a page or something ( No porn :tape: ) I usually have to reboot my computer.

The answer is supposed to be somewhere in that Opera forum I suppose but there seems to be an infinite amount of topics there :scared:

Considering I leave my connection on all night when I am downloading big files on bittorrent, I guess our cases are related. :p
