I am so proud of her for winning the NY Marathon. Great come-back, Paula. And what a great race from Chepkemei as well! Edge-of-your-seat stuff!

Why do runners wear a plaster across their noses?

Why do runners wear a plaster across their noses?

it helps to keep the sinuses clear and assists in better breathing. i do the same (but i don't run; i just have bad sinuses).

they might feel that breathing is easier then (through mouth and nose) ...

I think that was the most exciting marathon or distance race I've seen. I was convinced Chepkemei was going to win going in to the last mile. I need a sit down now. :)

I know; its an annoying problem. I think I am going to have surgery to rectify the problem in the next couple of days. It's a simple procedure and you are only in hospital for one day. :wavey:

I am so happy that Paula won. The Olympics was a disappointment but it's great she could come back like this. She's the best distance runner ever... an amazing athlete and I hope she keeps on improving!
