Where are Johnny Weir and Evgeny Pluschenko? :(

Mar 19th, 2002, 03:26 AM
Plushenko withdrew, and since Michael Weiss is an awful liar, he went not letting Johnny take up the spot... But Johnny will be back next year with Quads hopefully (his Sal is getting consistent and he's getting close to the Toe again)..If he stays injury free I think next year we will see him rise! :)

Justin
Mar 19th, 2002, 03:27 AM
Wier did not qualify. Plushenko pulled out.

JWFan- do you know if Tim landed his 3 quads and 2 3axels? Also, what did Yags, Weiss, and Savoie do? Thanks

ALEXEI  gave us a demonstration if his superiority on ice!!! he is by far better than any other skater in the field. his presentation has been sort of a combination between a competition skating and a gala skating. he cheered after the clean lutz, gave a hand kiss to the public (things and gestures which are not in the coreography). Such gestures show us that he enjoys playing with the public.
His T4T3 combination has been the best jump in the short prog. I am glad he did it so well!
And not to forget, the other 4, 5 skaters which skated before him did well, skated clean, but Alexei has been under pressure! he skated last... and so fantastic..., which such an easiness... I have no words to express myself, just great!

GO ALEXEI!!!

also congrats to Alexander Abt!!! I liked his 'modern' presentation! The music, the costume , the coreography, everything suits him! and he glides so well on ice. it's joy to watch him skate.

Michael Weiss's marks for the technical merit has been lower than Goebbel's, which I don't think it's O.K. ... anyway...

Alexei Yagudin has won gold again :)

congrats Alexei for another masterful display :)

Congratulations to Kevin Van Der Perren! Unfortunately he couldn't manage to do as well as in the Olympics, but he's still young, and is the 2002 junior vice-world champion, so I think he's got time to improve!

In the next European championships, he will be in the fight for a medal!!!

Congratulations to Alexei Yagudin on having the greatest year(actually it was 3 months!) in the history of figure skating! He was the Grand Prix champion in January. The Olympic champion in February. And the World champion in March. What an incredible 3 months for Alexei!

Justin
Mar 22nd, 2002, 09:06 PM
He's also the European champion.

Thanks for reminding me Justin. I forgot. But I don't consider the European championships as important as the Grand Prix, Olympics or World Championships.

Justin
Mar 22nd, 2002, 09:34 PM
I think Europeans are far more important than the GPF.

Lola
Mar 23rd, 2002, 03:11 PM
of course the EUchampionships are more important than the Grand Prix!
