This Chuang is a lethal opponent? She is ranked only 600 with a not so small sum of tournaments. Or are these numbers decieving?

Complete Aussie Domination on Day two! Only Aussie winners, thats pretty impressive! 13 of the 16 remaining player now are locals
Fantastic win for Sarah Stone! Its about time her singles career gets a move on as her doubles rank in nearing a top 200 breakthrough! Always thought she could push Elsa and she did!
Nice to see Lisa McShea easily winning, her confidence must have improved a lot! Deanna followed up last weeks success with an important win here which is good to see. Gutsy comeback win for Christina too!

Rematch of Suer vs Deanna, last time Suer won in 3, Van Elden vs Kriz, Stone/Horiatopolous, Welford/Dellacqua, Rosenfield/Breadmore could all go either way!
McShea, Beti and Chia-Jung will all win easily I think!

expecting Lisa , Sarah(in form), Deanna and Beti to make it thru to the semis...:)
Mar 21st, 2002, 12:09 PM
I wouldn't be so sure about any of those Steve hehehe
Lisa vs Kriz, - Lisa struggled passed Weidemann, think she's getting tired, she's not used to playing so many singles matches! Kriz got to the semi's last week and is playing well with nothing to lose! Could go either way! If Mcshea is feeling fresh though she should take it in str8 sets.
Stone vs Dellacqua - Could go anyway! Stone has the game to suit grass but mentally she can just lose it. Think her mental game though has improved a lot recently, think Casey though might just take this one! Hope I am wrong though as I feel the points would be better if they went to Sarah, they are more important to her right now!
Chuang vs Deanna - Deanna has been playing great, but so has Chuang! Chia-Jung is a bright young prospect and I think she may prove to much for Deanna, having said that though Bree managed to get a set of Chia-Jung so maybe if Deanna can grab the 1st set she has a good chance!
Sekulowski vs Rosenfield - Both gutsy fighters, both counterpunchers, both have very similar games and chase everything down, this could go either way, way too tight to call!
Mar 21st, 2002, 12:29 PM
Christina ..nevermind tho...she's getting the feel for the court again after an injury lay off :)
Go Bets  Take this one!

Chia-Jung Chuang d 3)Deanna Roberts 57 63 63 :(
7)Beti Sekulovski d Rochelle Rosnefield 76(5) 57 76(5) :D
Go Beti Go! Somebody stop McShea she is hogging all the points! :p
Mar 22nd, 2002, 06:33 AM
Gees my predictions were spot on!
Did I not say Beti vs Rochelle would be a battle :p
Shame about Deanna :(

Mar 22nd, 2002, 11:05 AM
Good stuff from Beti....hope she can make the finals and win or lose she'll take alot out of this week considering she hasn't been able to progress past her quarter the past two events!
:) ....if she does make the final i hope she doesn't play Lisa whos determined to , as Terry put it , HOG all the points :p
Mar 22nd, 2002, 03:08 PM
great work Lisa, hope she's not getting too tired though! I wouldn't mind seeing her lose in the semis so she could get a bit of an extra break to try and win the masters a bit more fresh.
Mar 22nd, 2002, 09:10 PM
Well done Chia-Jung :D
