Probably never, Lucic at 14 was supposed to follow Hingis to become #1 in the world, and where is she now?

Oh she hasn't reached the top ten yet.

No wonder I haven't heard of her.

Some time after Golovin, Sprem, Bovina, Li Na, Vaidisova, Karatancheva, Kleybanova and so on (did I miss somebody?)
We are going to have ourselves a very big (up to 100 players) and happy Top 10

Hmm, I think its too early to speak about top 10....

She is an excellent player, but I'm not sure whether she'll be able to reach top 10 just because she was able to beat Golovin and make Venus really work for her win.

Lindsay Davenport thought Peneta would become no.1 in the world after Flavia pushed Lindsay to 3 sets in Miami, but Flavia now is just a struggling top 50 player...

2006. Top 20 or 30 next year and then up to the top 10 in 2006

it's tough to tell...right now it seems that there's about 50 players that *should* be in the top10. She should aim for the top30 or 20 next year and then we'll see from there.

Isn't that great for the tour! So many new talented players and the ones playing have really stepped up it seems. I'm not sure if I was ever that excited about the tour as in this year (forgeting jelena's results) and i have feeling it only going to get better next year :bounce:

One never know how a player is goint to develop. Just look at Dokic's example; at 16 she beat world no 1 at Wimby with 62 60 or something, and there was a rearly anybody that didn't thing they are watching a future no 1. Commentators on BBC and Eurosport were saying that we just witnessed a birth of a future legend, that everybody should remeber her name as she is definitely going to dominate tennis for years to come....

Look at Jelena now; 105 in the world, hasn't won a match since April...blah, blah

Comparing those two, Jelena was much impressive 16 year old and look what happened..

So you never know... time will tell. I certainly hope she will do great things!

i think shewill get to the top ten atsome stage during her career f she keeps improving...the problem would be staying there seeing as u guys have said the depth has gotten so high that theres atleast 20-30 people who will be fighting to get there and stay there in a few yrs

I honestly don't think Li Na will be top 10.
