I picked Kuznetsova but I'm still hoping it will be Dinara.

I *want Sveta or Masha or Lena D to reach the 1st ranking but I think Nastya *will be the first to do this

I think Kuznetsova as she really does look the goods.

With more consistency she will get there.

Although Myskina is ranked #3 she could be the one to get there also.

But she has to defend all those points next year now.

dementieva got 200 points to defend until next years miami..
then she got a lot to defend in RG and US Open
but at the same time
so many 1r loses
so if she would reduce that
she can get a lot of points

I dnt think so, as much as i like her, i have a great haunch she cannot defend her RG title and lost badly in the early rounds.

It will be Sharapova.

Kuzzi wiyll be there sooner or later. Don't know if it will be beforeor after Nastya though. maybe Nastya wouldn't be one :scared: , and she'll be the first?

I voted Elena D purely on bias (although she could do it ;). It could be any of the Top 4 Russians though.

I think Anastasia, Svetlana, and Elena all have a chance.
But Sveta plays the most, so I make her the favorite.

All have weaknesses, and it also depends how the non-Russians fare.

Nastya very nearly got it this year, but she missed the boat. Elena nad Sveta are closer. But Masha has the tools to do it if she improves her consistency.
