Did she ever surprise most of us. Playing with a lot of guts and little inhibition, she outplayed a one of the best today. What a wonderful win over such a great champion and what wonderful way to say to the wta world that she is here and ready for the big leagues.

Your right, all of us kept our faith in Daniela, and knew she could do it.
There isn't much better feeling than seeing the player that you have followed and put so much into supporting finally achieve the start of their dreams.
I watched so much of Daniela down in Melbourne, basically got to every game I possibly could, and to see the joy on her face after winning today, my eyes started to swell up with tears along with hers.
She is such a beautiful person, that she makes it so easy to adore her.

i really thought Hingis would have won this match. altho' i do like Daniela and am very happy for her that she came thru so professionally. poor Hingis. it breaks my heart. i don't have the energy to hate her as much as many people do. i just feel sorry for her that her era seems to be over. oh well, at least she had a turn. way to go Daniela!!! i'm sure there'll be more!!!
