I am thinking about her last name Molik... and there are plenty of imigrants from that area in Australia,

anybody knows??

Don't think so... it should be Molic ( from Molić ), and I haven't heard of anyone with that name here.

I think Martinfan is right- her family roots are Polish. She and Michael Klim- Australian swimmer are quite close and both share a Polish heritage

If her ancestors were indeed Polish the original family name would have been something like Molikowski, it was very common for emigrant familys from eastern europe to change their surnames to "fit in" with their adoptive countries.

Molik is probably Czech or Slovakian. It is less likely but still possible that you can face such name in Poland, Ukraine or Russia.
