Timea Bacsinszky is a very talented young Swiss player. She received a WC for the main draw and much is expected of her.

Actually, I don't find her cute at all.. But she does look better on those pictures than she does on court.

Martina :hearts:

It just sounds so funny.. Kloten means 'balls' in Dutch :tape: Not the tennis balls, but you get the picture.. :haha:

Aye, at least she seems to be going the good way with age, unlike Capriati for example ;)

She is only 15 atm, and was 11 or 12 on that pic :)

Zwonarewa, Dementiewa, Petrowa, Scharapowa, Duschewina, Bowina - It looks like they spelled their names the Polish way, or was it the German way? No other names received the same treatment. What's going on there?

Bacsinszky looks so different to other pictures that I've seen of her. Doesn't she usually wear glasses?

I am, from the day i heard she won the "petit as" tournament for the second time. It is considered by many like the under 14 world champ. and the only girl to have won it 2 times before her is Martina Hingis :)

I saw her match yesterday and unfortunately she made a ton of errors, especially in the first set, mostly caused by pressure, since it was her first WTA event, and in front of "home" crowd and family, friends etc...

She doesn't seem to be really powerful atm... but i guess we must wait a few more year to see how she will become and if she will live up to the expectations. Note that she is now part-timely coached by H. Günthardt.

it's german. a "v" is more pronounced like an "f", so to keep the right pronounciation, those names' v's are replaced by w's.
