Best Film of the 90´s

Which film do you like most?? :rolleyes:

I only like 3 movies in the poll.... :S

I voted for American Beauty but Shakespeare in love is also excellent :)

The Piano is my fave movie

My second fave movie is The Silence of the Lambs so I will vote for it.

I voted for Schindlers' List although my favourite film of the 90s is not listed, it's called 'Leon' staring Jean Reno and Natalie Portman and directed by French director Luc Besson.

The really best films are not listed but otherwise this is a decent selection, except for "The English Patient" and "Shakespeare in Love" (yuk!!)

And Ben Affleck is not even in one of these three films, anabel.

Those are good choices... none of them would I consider to be bad (Forrest Gump, Braveheart and Dances With Wolves don't do it for me particularly).

My choice is Silence of the Lambs.

Out of those films,
Schlindler's List remind me the strongest, such an emotional film and it really saddens me for more than a week after watching this

Since the thread says "Best Film", not "Best American Film", I would point to the Brazilian "Central do Brasil" ("Central Station") as one of the most memorable movie experiences of that decade.

Likely the most critically-acclaimed movie to ever come out of Brazil, it was nominated for an Academy Award in 1999 as Best Foreign Language Film, but missed out against Roberto Benigni's incredible "It's a Beautiful Life".

Fernanda Montenegro earned an Oscar nomination as Best Actress in a Leading Role as the first Brazilian ever.

I couldn't decide between Forrest Gump, Shakespeare in Love, English Patient, Schindler's List and American Beauty.

I voted for Forrest Gump in the end. That film touched me, made me laugh, almost made me cry....
