poe the inspirational

you've heard of alexander the great,
william the conqueror and even ivan
the terrible. well on the boards we
have poe the inspirational. in 3 yrs
of posting on tennis boards i've seen
very posters have the impact that
poe has had on all of us.

the moment he arrived in the latter
part of 2000 with his poetry and pics
there was no denying that there
truly was something special about
the canadian. his wicked sense of
humour, sensuous good looks and
unhidden sensitivity was obvious
and we were all drawn to him. poe
could make you laugh, cry, think, feel
and laugh again.

the true beauty of the ontario resident
is that even with all those remarkable
qualities poe never gave the impression
that he was better than anyone. he got
on with some posters more than others
but it didn't mean he wouldn't speak to you.

he was as inspirational then as he is
now. many of us have benefitted
from knowing poe particularly his
closest friends from the boards. look
at how dahveed (second serve from
sanex) has come out his shell and isn't
the same shy frenchman who joined in
august of 1999. buttercup (smiling
assasin from sanex) is much more
self-assured than when she first started
posting on sanex two years ago.

that's all part of poe's inspirational nature.
i hope poe doesn't mind this thread cos
personally i think it's long overdue. poe
we thank you and love for all you do for us.

poe may you find love and may he be worthy
of you and make you happy as you make
all of us.

Anyway, i dont know if Poe helped me with my shyness or whatever but i agree with what you wrote, he's really a great friend (though he probably doesn't need all this attention, his head being big enough! :p :D)

back to august of 1999 and
until about the middle of 2000
and you were still a bit shy in
my opinion. perhaps you just
had more fun on the boards
when poe arrived. :) you just
have much more self-confidence
now just by reading your posts
but back in the beginning you
didn't say as much and wouldn't
dare say a cross word to anyone.
and now it's nice to see you tell
people who deserve it to sod off. :)
