It's a russian thing lately. I'd love to see Serena -vs- Svetlana.

Good luck to Serena :) One step at a time to get back to her rightful place.

You can take them Serena!!

P.S. Is Serena even in China yet?? it wouldn't surprise me if she didn't play cause of doctors orders.

I would like for Serena to play, but if she doesnt', I'm not adverse to it either. I'm really looking upon next year anxiously. It would be nice if she's already there.

I'm totally psyched about the Serena-SvetKuz match-up... It's nice to see Serena back in finals where she belongs, but where she really belongs is in the winners circle. Best of luck to her, and let the best woman on that day be victorious- ...well only if it's Serena...hehehe

In all honesty I hope, regardless of who wins, that it's a competitive match with both players playing their respective bests...

She did it! She did it! WOOHOOO!!! Sorry. :o

Great fighting from Rena! The serve came back a long time ago. The fighting is starting to come back. Now all that's left is the forehand. :p It was quite ugly, from what I heard. Once she gets her forehand back where it was in 2002/2003, she's going to be unbeatable. :D

I got my final, and I got my Serena win. Just lovely. I woke up extra early just to know the results. Svetlana is certainly a new favorite but I'll never pass up a Serena win anytime. Great match by both ladies :clap2:

Yeah, SvetKuz has that nice big serve and that deadly forehand, kinda like my ol' girl Graf. She's fun to root for and get behind- so best of luck to her in the future. But all of us in this thread know it's really about just one woman, Ms. Serena Williams!!!! Nice win for her and us fans.... :bounce:

Her fight was admirable and it should carry over to next year. I'll be looking forward to what 2005 has to offer and Serena likewise.
