AWESOME ELENA AND AI!!! two of my favorites playing together, i knew they were going to make a good team! how great would it be if they made it through the draw and won the tournament!

black and stubbs was the team that guy on yahoo's picked to win the title...

They played very well from what i saw Elena pressuring the player at the net with huge groundies and Ai putting away the volleys.

NOW SERVE LIKE THAT IN SINGLES ELENA :fiery:

Exactly ,just what I was thinking she had an excelent Toss and served several second serves at 95MPH+ she obviously can do it!!
Her returns were awesome the power was something else!! mind u Lena looked twice the size of everbody else!!

Awesome win from these two, knocking out the Wimby champs.

May these doubles wins give Elena even more confidence on her serve and help her ride her way through this tournament in both singles and doubles :)

I think it has to do with confidence. With Ai there to return the returns (lol), she's not as afraid that her opponents will attack her serve.

For those who have watched them, what's the partnership like? Are they friendly towards each other? Good teamwork?

They were impressive!! Yea, they seemed to gel well together, and are friendly with each other. Lena is alwyas going to be an intense character but she seems to enjoy playing with Ai. Ai always has fun no matter who she is playing with! :D

Go Ai/Lena! :yeah:

Good win Ai & Elena, they make a pretty solid team.

Since V&S aren't playing, I hope these two take the title.

This is the best U.S. for a while! Lindsay's in solid form. Ai cruising through her first three matches. Shinobu winning through to the QF stage. And Ai and Elena playing well together as a doubles team! ;)
