Congrats Shinobu :)

No offence but after the 4th rd match between Vee n Lindsay , the QF match up will be quiet an anticlimax :)

Sooooo happy!! It was a terrific match, I could barely watch at the end, I was so nervous. I really thought she was letting it slip, but in the end, she was braver and went for her shots more. It was a really entertaining match.

GO SHIN!!!!!!! :yeah: :woohoo:

Well done Shinobu!!! She obviously played with a lot of determination and tenacity!!! :worship:

Interestingly, I believe it's been 10 years since Japan had a tennis player who made it to the QF round at the U.S. Open...

Oh man I'm so happy for Shinobu. She's such a spunky and hardworking player, so I'm glad she pulled out the best result of her career at age 28. She looked fuckin elated after that much.

You couldn't help but laugh after that little squeal she gave when she hugged that guy in her box. What a cutie:)

She's gonna get molested against either Venus or Lindsay, but that's beside the point. She should enjoy this moment for what it's worth.

Still more interestingly Shinobu and Kimiko went to the same high school.
She was actually hyped a bit as the next Date by the media here when she beat Amanda Coezter at Toray PPO five or six years ago.
