I saw Robert Lansdorp on the Tennis Channel. When he was a child during World War II, he lived in Indonesia. The Japanese put his dad in a concentration camp. And tortured his mother.
After the war, the Dutch fought a war with England over control of Indonesia. And Lansdorp told more horror stories that I can't remember the exact details of.
But he's had a scary, eventful life.

And he coached Sampras, Austin, Davenport, and Sharapova. But they had other coaching also.

All I know is that he is the guy you go to if you want to learn to be a good ball-striker (Davenport, Sharapova).

He also helped Anastasia Myskina get into the top 10. He's a really great coach.

Robert has worked with Pete, Tracy Austin, Lindsay, Myskina, Chris Evertt and now Maria. He's known as a master of tecnique when it comes to groundstrokes. I often wonder if he could help Venus with that little hitch in her forehand.
