so a quarter Justine Henin- Jelena Dokic, a possible belgian semi...
Mar 5th, 2002, 07:36 AM
Good luck to both of them. I think Kim could win this, but it depends on how her arm is doing and what shape she's in.
Mar 5th, 2002, 09:18 PM
A Belgian Babe in the final would be nice. :)
Mar 6th, 2002, 03:43 PM
Justine/Meghan vs Martina/Anna in 1st round
Mar 7th, 2002, 03:19 AM
Kim doesn't have that much of a good draw... Dechy second round?? She has been playing really well lately... she won her first round match something like 6-1 6-0 or something like that... I think Kim can win it though!!
Mar 7th, 2002, 03:12 PM
I don't think Kim's draw is that bad, she'll have to work hard to win it though
P.S I'm new and this is my first post
Mar 7th, 2002, 03:53 PM
:wavey: Hermione!!! Wooo!! A Kim AND Darius fan from Enlgand!
Well I hope her arm is better as she has alot of points to defend but I think she could win this...It's just the arm!!!
Go Kimmieeeeee!!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Mar 7th, 2002, 04:27 PM
Does anybody know when Kim or Justine play. Will they broadcast it in Belgium?
Good luck to both of them!
ps: comeon_kim, I like your avarator a lot!
Mar 7th, 2002, 04:49 PM
OMD Dechy is playing great!!
Poor Kimmy, facing a hot Dechy in her 1st match since the Aus Open
Mar 8th, 2002, 02:29 PM
And wasn't it a very close match last time Kim and Nathalie met???
I hope she can win it! :) GOOOOOO Kim :) :) :)
Mar 8th, 2002, 02:30 PM
The last match between Justine and Nathalie was tiebreak in the final set, but I don't remember matches between Kim and Nathalie
Mar 8th, 2002, 04:10 PM
Kim Clijsters leads Nathalie Dechy 1-0
1999 Bratislava Hard (I) SF Kim CLIJSTERS 6-7 6-4 6-2
It was a tough match but Kim was only 16 back then.
Mar 8th, 2002, 09:32 PM
Justine Henin beat Maja Matevzic in a 143 minutes long nailbiter!!
Score: 5-7 6-4 6-4
Not good for the heart
Mar 8th, 2002, 09:51 PM
Congrats, Justine! But keep your next matches shorter please ;)
Good luck in the next round! :bounce:
Mar 9th, 2002, 04:04 AM
I cannot believe Kimmie lost to Nathalie... well I can believe I guess since Dechy has been playing awesome lately and Kim is coming off an injury but still... poor Kimmie... hope she can bounce back quickly!!!!
Mar 9th, 2002, 06:54 AM
:( :( :( Does anyone know what her ranking will be after Indian Wells?:( :( :(
Oh and by the way cmon_kim01 I've never come across a Kim and Darius fan before from England. That is so cool!:D
Mar 9th, 2002, 09:01 AM
Kim will be no.5 after IW, I think which isn't that bad. She will be the 4th seed at Key Biscane (or whatever it's called) next week.
Good luck to Kim in Miami!! :bounce:
Go Els/Iroda & Justine!! :bounce:
Mar 9th, 2002, 09:58 AM
It was to be expected, next week she will do better, I'm sure :)
Now all my attention goes to Justine and Els :)
Mar 9th, 2002, 10:51 AM
I'm sad about Kim's losing
I hope now, that Jelena'll win this tournament!
Mar 9th, 2002, 10:55 AM
I'm also not very surprised she lost. She coming off a long injury which isn't completely healed yet and she is ill on top of it. I'm glad she played and didn't withdraw. That shows she has guts.
Best of luck to Justine now!!
Mar 9th, 2002, 02:25 PM
Wow "Come-on-kim" you prefer Dokic above a belgian player to win the tournament now? Great compatriot you are!
Mar 9th, 2002, 04:09 PM
Why do you have to rout always for a compatriot? If Come-on-Kim likes Jelena better it's his/here right to cheer for Jelena (though I don't understand that choice ;) ;) ;) ) There are a lot of members on this bord who have favs who are not compatriots.
Mar 9th, 2002, 04:27 PM
It would definitely be best if a lower ranked player won Indian Wells now so that they wouldn't challenge Kim's ranking.:bounce:
Mar 9th, 2002, 04:42 PM
My favourite player is Kim, my second favorite is Jelena. I like Justine too, normaly, I would cheer for Justine but when I've read something about Justine!!! You say I'm not patriotic but is Justine patriotic?? I've read that perhaps she won't play the Fed Cup against Australia because wasn't playing. And she doesn't want to have all the pressure on her shoulder!!
So who's not patriotic???? I or Justine?
Perhaps the two!!
But when I saw Justine and Venus match at Antwerp, I was cheering for Juju because she is Belgian and because, Jelena had lost earlier!!!
Mar 10th, 2002, 09:03 PM
and Olivier Rochus survives qualifying: he won against K.Pless 7-6 6-4 :D
Mar 10th, 2002, 10:46 PM
Woohoo for Justineke and Olivierke! ;) :bounce:
Mar 11th, 2002, 02:19 PM
Well done, Justine and Olivier!! :D
Good luck to:
- Justine against Hantuchova (I hope they show some of Justine on Eurosport this week!)
- Olivier against Novak in the maindraw
- Xavier against Federer and today in doubles with Tommy Haas !
Mar 11th, 2002, 07:04 PM
Xavier and Tommy lost 6-4 4-6 6-1.
Mar 12th, 2002, 05:52 AM
Justine lost 6-3 6-3..
only Xavier and Olivier in singles now
Mar 16th, 2002, 08:05 PM
And they lost lost lost ...
Well it was an important tournament for the Belgians yes! Back on our feet and up too the following tournaments!
