wildcard - qualies update

ok my friend is a steward there, he says they are still deciding about wildcards. but they do know who is in qualies, so wheres the list?

There is no seating for outside courts, we do however have a few fold out chairs but this is on a first come first served basis. There is only seating for court one and centre court only.

im surprised, i thought they would have seating :D

I'm really sorry the problem is the qualifying players have not yet been announced so I can not release the list and I do not have an up to date list of the main draw players. I will hopefully be able to get something to you tomorrow. Hope this will not be too late?

Don't worry, there are usually enough seats available. The courts outside of centre and Court One are never very crowded so you can always get a good view, and very often a seat.

WILD CARD FOR NAVRATILOVA
Martina Navratilova has accepted a wild card for the Hastings Direct International Championships qualifying event which starts in Eastbourne tomorrow.

The tennis legend, who asked to play in the qualifying to gain match sharpness, faces Mara Santangelo of Italy in the first round.

The main-draw wild cards have been awarded to Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova along with Britain's number one and number three Anne Keothavong (Lancashire) and Amanda Janes (Essex).

I guess the qualy draw has been done then.

Re Amanda, I am sure Caz has reported back, but I have to say she's not pasive at all, and her elbow-bending problems seem to be a thing of the past (mostly anyway ;)). If she gets Serna she might move into the second round :lol:
