After she beat Nakamura in Surbiton, I thought it fit to provide her with the ultimate reward. A cheering thread in WTAWorld ;)

She has a tough R2 match against McCain :scared:

Go Emily! :)

for some reason i always get those two mixed up :o
Emily needs to play soon to get into US Open qualies

Entry date is July 19
but she will have until Aug 2 ranks to move a bit higher to make sure.

US Open has 128 players in qualies so she probably will make it.

Where is Emily next playing? and when?

What sort of ranking does she need to get into US Open Qualies? 240-ish?

Hope she can make it :D

Glad to see the thread finally got going ;) :o

Emily is committed to the Schenectady $50K on the 19th July, with her old ranking of 349 - along with Anne, Elena (maindraw) and Jane (qualifying).

And the next week she is in the higher tiered event in Lexington! Is it a WTA Tour event now? In any case, her new ranking takes her to the qualies.

Also on the 26th, Emily is commited to play the $10k in St Joseph. Hope she plays the $100k in Lexington instead ;)

Emily wont make US qualies unless she makes semis or better next week.

emly

but even so (apart from it ebing a terrible loss especially with Mp's) she'd have needed to qualify and probably won a round or 2 to be sure

she won't make US Open especially as she is playing the 10k, so now needs to focus on getting some good wins in in teh indoor events so she can defend wimbledon okay, and hopefully make it into Oz Open

Well she lost in straight sets to Nugent who is just crap so i don't know what shes doing.I think she's very up and down but as she improves there will be more ups than downs.

Well, she qualified and was given a tough draw. She's nowhere near her best, but this week was an improvement. :yeah:

Emily is back down to earth
around 400 again when Wimby is over.

wonder if she can make top 300 again ???

*hingis_forever*
Jun 27th, 2005, 03:25 AM
Well I think that this will actually help in the long run because now she will have to play more $10Ks to build her confidence and not rely on one tournament to get her ranking inside the top 300 or higher!
