I've looked on different websites, but some say 175cm, some 180, some 184... Does anyone have an accurate measurement, or does she keep growing and growing? :hearts: :worship:

During her match against Vera, their showed on the screen that Masha is 183cm and 59kg.

(Vera is also 59kg, but 173cm.)

I think Maria is marginally over 6 foot or 183 cm. :)

Average height of the WTA top 20 is 5'8" so she's about 4 inches taller than most of her opponents in that.

There was a picture of her and Daniela Hantuchova standing together at the net at their match at Toyko and Maria was only just slightly bigger and Daniela is 5'11"1/4.

I had thought Maria was taller than 6 foot but it turns out she was wearing high-heels. :)

Her official height is 6'0" (1.83 m), as listed by the WTA. But, Maria was listed as over 6'1" tall when I saw her at the Rogers AT&T tournament (Mary Carillo on the telecast also stated that her listed height of 6'0" was incorrect at the time), last year in Toronto; and I believe she was still growing. A year later now, I'd say she's an even 6'2"; don't know if she'll grow any taller though. :)

It's remarkable someone of maria's build can produce shots more powerful than Serena Williams

^ Height is a huge advantage for producing power in tennis (particularly on serve), as the shorter you are, the more you have to loop the ball to get it over the net. I actually investigated the relationship between height and maximum service-speed using equations of motion for `A' Level Maths.

What's remarkable is the power that shorter girls such as Iroda Tulyaganova and Vera Zvonareva - both of whom are under 5'8" - can produce.

Maria's official height is 6'0 (1.83m) according to her wtatour.com profile, but she looks even taller than that. Not tall and ungainly like Lindsay Davenport, but gracefully tall.

I'll be going to the Hong Kong exhibition, maybe I'll find a way to squeeze past security, stand next to her and then compare our height. :) I'll be able to tell you how tall she is then... ;)

I would say Maria is over 6 ft prob around 6ft1 or so ,the heights and weights in wta site are way inacurate ,They list Lena D as 5ft 11 but i have seen her with Masha and she looks as tall so i guess they are both over 6ft ,weights are wrong too ,they list Myskina as being 1 lb heavier than Serena ,of course she is!!

I was watching the Thailand exhibition yesterday and standing side by side with Maria, I think Venus is still a shade taller. And Venus doesn't even stand erect.
I agree that their listed heights are inaccurate. Lindsay and Venus are both listed 6'1", I think Lindsay is closer to 6'3" than 6'1". Maria is probably 6'1" with Venus in between.

Whatever, they're all tall. Too tall for me.

Maria's bout 6'0 or 6'1. Venus is still taller. :)

Their listed heights are definitely wrong; they haven't been updated for a long time. Or maybe they purposely list them as shorter, to make them less imposing; kinda like they do for many actresses. For example: Charlize Theron is listed as being 5'9, though when she was standing flush with Keanu Reeves, flat-footed --- who's 6'0 --- she was taller than him. So either she's taller than 6'0, or someone's been playing around with people's heights. ;)

I've seen Maria up close, and trust me, she is DEFINITELY taller than 6'0 tall. I'd say she's at least 6'2, if not taller. Who knows when these players actually stop growing.

Lindsay is at least 6'3, if not taller. She is the tallest player still on tour. I'd say Maria, Venus and Elena B. are tied for second tallest on the tour. All are at least 6'2.

I saw the match on TV and observed Masha is shorter than Vee who is 6'1" (185)..
She is probably 183-4...which is damn tall already

Vee is shorter than Linds for sure..
I saw them standing together on TV in one US hardcourts tourny maybe Stanford.. ;)
