You are just going by ranking, sonya is a much better doubles player then meli is, and alot of our junior girls are much better singels players then meli is, such as alekz, steff and sharon

Yes! My message was by ranking

But I think actually, Aleksandra is the best player single in the country! :worship:

1. Aleksandra
2. Marie-Ève
3. Stéphanie
4. Maureen
5. Mélanie

Do you agree?

I really think that Beier Ko should be in that top 5, maybe in fourth place.

Mélanie isn't in great shape since January, hope she gets some confidence back this summer. Same applies to Maureen Drake!

Aleksandra is playing well particularly with players ranked below her. (exept for Fed Cup where she did very well) But she rarely wins against top 20 juniors.

Yes and she has a good draw now. Also her favorite surface is clay. With some other good wins she will go up in rankings. Hope she will finish 2004 in Top 10 to get some Junior exempts next year.

I believe in her ! she is able of doing well in the Wta

she had some physical problems these year so next year will be ready for entering the top 200th!! and top 100th in doubles(if she has a steady partner like Amanda)

She is a player who can upset good players !! but just not consistent yet, and she can lost badly to a player below her ranking

she is 20 ! only ,so wait the resuslts will come

Career prematurely ended because of an ongoing injury sadly :( I don't think she was ever going to "make it", but she could have been a solid top 200 player in my opinion. I know she's done a fair bit of media work at Canadian tennis events in recent years, not sure what else though - I'm sure some posters from Quebec would know more about what she's up to now :)

I think she has her own TV show in RDS. (local sports network)
She's a TV commentator during the Bell Challenge as well as the Rogers Cup.

She's quite good.
