Is the injury possibly sustained by Lindsay today. If that is what it is, she could be out for Wimby. If it is simply a cartilage bruise, she could play it.

yes that is the knee that kept her out for like 8 months in 2002, but i saw the match and she looked to be in the pain, she was just trying to go for winners right away, and she wasn't handling dementivas serve well, in the second set she was limping some and looked to be in alot of pain, i just pray that It heels some and Lindsay will be healthy again.

I don't think you can fracture cartilage.

She's probably torn it.

Medically speaking, it is possible to fracture cartilage.

You can fracture the underlying bone but how can you fracture cartilage - it's just soft tissue .

Not that the terminology really matters though :o - get well soon Lindsay :hearts:.

"In the beginning it felt fine," Lindsay said. "I lost the first set
6-1 because I didn't play well, it wasn't even that. But early in the
second, I just felt this like click that I get in there where I just
kind of land funny on my knee. From then on, it was really sore.

"I don't know exactly what I did. I'm pretty sure I didn't fracture
the cartilage like I did the bad time before. I don't know if maybe I
have a small bone bruise again or what. It was just a huge irritant
in the second set."

thats what she said in an interview

This is all Dementieva's doing, I shall explain why. When Lindsay got the original bone bruise injury, she was playing at the Ericsson Open (Formerly Lipton, now called NASDAQ). Guess who Lindsay was playing? you guessed it Dementieva ... Elena must have a Lindsay Voodoo doll in her bag (LOL).

Get well soon Lindsay. :D

Not that the terminology really matters though :o - get well soon Lindsay :hearts:.You can fracture articular cartilage. I didn't think a cartliage fracture was possible and I'm studying sports injuries:o . But according to my text you can fracture articular cartilage. I don't think it is that bad though.

Get well soon Lindsay:)
