Kirilenkova's got a lot of potential. But let her win something first. ;)

She gave Serena a great match. She's one of the top 5 favorites for Wimbledon now!!:p
I don't know why Chanda did not go on to win the US Open in 2002 after beating Serena when Serena was at her best!!

LOL, Mary Carillo and Cliff Drysdale of ESPN will be driving the wagon. THey are just oozing from their pores about her.

If Maria wins matches at Wimbledon, those U.K. tabloids will love her. She might be the prettiest girl on the tour.

May 27th, 2004, 08:32 PM
I'll get on the wagon. I like her game. ;)

May 27th, 2004, 09:15 PM
me too

May 27th, 2004, 09:29 PM
I liked her game and was impressed...but, as per usual, I'm going to wait to see if she can play with that kind of form on a consistent basis. I did really like how she was moving forward heaps in the match...that's something a lot of the girls should do, but very few actually do.

May 27th, 2004, 09:38 PM
im on the wagon :)

May 27th, 2004, 09:42 PM
i'm not, not my type of gal, sorry

May 27th, 2004, 09:48 PM
Well considering most people had never seen her play before today, I would hardly call becoming a fan now band-wagoning at this point. JMO.

I've been a Maria Kirilenko fan for 2 years. :) It was a pleasure to watch her play Serena today. :D And Maria actually served and volleyed against Serena! :bounce: Who serves and volley's against Serena? That was great to see from Masha.

SJW, why is Masha not your type of gal? Too lean for you? ;)

Makiri is definitely a talented girl.

However, judging from her results... I guess we saw "good Masha" vs. Serena.

I don't want to see "bad Masha" that loses to everyone.

She doesn't seem like the kind of player that would be so inconsistent.

May 28th, 2004, 12:54 AM
i saw the bad masha in miami against petrova (i think). petrova creamed her and maria was really passive. i'll stay on the k-lina bandwagon, but thanks for the offer :p

May 28th, 2004, 12:59 AM
i kinda heard of her before. and wow.. today's match was close! great try Maria!
another Maria eh :hehehe:

I'm in!!! :D

I'm not jumping on any bandwagon but I think Kirilenko played a beautiful match. She was striking the ball so well, so hard; I was impressed. The thing is I don't think Serena was playing that badly; Kirilenko was just swinging her racket without a care in the world. She was good. Unfortunately for her not good enough. But she made Serena work ahrd to earn that win and that was quite commendable.

I don't believe in hyping up anybody but I wish her the best in the future and hope she keeps that attitude.

She got game....but Im gonna wait her out...I remember how a certain Daniela Hantuchova faired...

May 28th, 2004, 08:55 AM
I've taken Maria K's pictures in Pattaya 2002. She looks so thin at that time.
I love watching her play a lot. Hope she will be top ten players in near future.
C'mon Maria K.

realy? It is kinda hard to pic nowadays. everyone gets prettier and prettier. She was theer last year you know, and I thought she was as pretty as now. But people said that Sharapova is the prettiest. What changed. I don't like this phrase: "prettiest on tour", as pretty= good performance around here.
