I heard a lot of male players, journalists,... complaining that the wta tour wasn't competitive at all for the top-players, that the 4 first tounds in GS were just warming-up matchs,....

Now with this big upset, is this what tennis need?

Personnaly I don't think so... Actually not that way, because in this case, Justine lost because she wasn't able to play like how she wanted to,... It's still not the same as on the men draw.

I think what women's tennis needs is all of their top players and contenders to be healthy all at once. And then we'll see a lot of competitive rivalries. I think that the general field is also lifting their level and we'll see more "upsets." I mean, look at the likes of Sprem, Konstanic and Loit, as well as a bunch of other players who are always dangerous floaters. I honestly believe that women's tennis is just getting better and better.

having one of the best players, defending champ lose in the second round? It makes a good story, but at the end of the day, we may have a weak semi, and final.

So it's good for week one, but hurts week two.
