Must have been a real slugfest out there, congrats to both players for what would have been an entertaining match top open up proceedings in Berlin. :wavey:

It's a record.

The longest tie break in a women match (as far as I can remember) was between Tara Snyder and Emmanuelle Gagliardi at 1999's Madrid Open

Emmanuelle won 6-7(19-21) 6-1 6-1

Wojtek posted this score but now deleted it, so don't blame me if it's wrong :crying2:

How odd... the official WTA Tour site draw sheet shows the score was 4-6, 7-6(7), 6-4... I wonder which one is correct. Did Anca face match point?

I was in Berlin, and I'm still exhausted from this match. :D :o

Anca won the tie-break 9-7 on her 8th set-point. :o  :smash: :)

More on this match and the other later in my report. :D
