Both players started nervous, lot of mistakes from both sides, no one could hold in the beginning, Jelena was 2-1 up after 3 breaks then she saved ton of breakpoints and held for the first time.
At 3-2 Sucha called for the trainer, she got a tape one of her finger on her right hand. This little intermezzo disconcerted Jankovic, made 2 doubles and 2 unforced errors and lost her sevice very quickly at love. At 4-4 Sucha got better, was more aggressive and was 5-4 then 6-5 up but couldn't break for the set. In the tiebreak there were quite many minibreaks, but always Jankovic was ahead and took the set 7/4 in the breaker after 66 mins.
In the second set Jankovic started very well, broke the slovak early and went 4-1 up, Martina kept fighting and broke back to 4-3. At this point there started raining quite heavily, the match had been suspended about 20 minutes, though it was a fast shower so the match could been continued soon. After warming up again, Jankovic took control broke Sucha's serve, and then served out the match at 30. (Match time 1.55)
Jelena was very happy, ran to her brother who supported her among the crowd.
In the interviews during the ceremony Sucha said: this won a great week for her, but today Jankovic played simply better.
Jelena said, she felt herself very well in Budapest, this is a special tourney for her b/c her first title, she was very diappointed last week when Serbia lost in the Fed Cup, but now she is really pleased. Her goal is to reach the Top Ten.

The doubles final was a good match too. In the beginning the youngsters played better, the points were very spectacular (at 1-1 Deuce there was another rain delay, but it went away very quickly, the players didn't leave the court) Németh/Szávay were ahead till 3-2, then Schett and Mandula concentrated better, could finish the games and took the next 4 games.
The second set the 'juniors' started better again, broke Mandula's serve to 2-1, after that the Top Seeded team won 5 games in a row, and took the title, after an exciting match in 62 mins.
The younsters said after the match they played their first WTA turney, and they'll play some itf event in the future, Virág said she hardly plays doubles, so this is especially a very good week for her.
Petra said she was happy for the title defence (last year she won with Tatarkova) she congratulated to Virág and Ági for the great tourney, thanked to Babsi to play with her, said she loves to play in front of home crowd, this is the only time she can play home, but it's also gruelling b/c she has to do a lot in the press an for the home fans, thanked the sponsors, the organisers because even harder every year to do a good events, and greeted her mother b/c of Mother's Day. (She'll play Berlin next week...)
Schett also thanked to Petra, the sponsors, apologised for the poor singles result to the audience, said that she regularly plays with Patty Schnyder, but would like to play again with Petra this year or next year.
