For some reason, when I woke up this morning, my desktop was filled with advertisements and it seems like my computer is filled with spyware. I downloaded programs that detected the spyware but would not delete them without me paying for them. Is there anyway I can remove this spyware without paying like 30 bucks for a program? Thanks in advance.

Try Bulletproof Spyware Remover or Pest Patrol, both clean spywares/adwares very thoroughly.

Alternatively, Lavasoft Ad-aware does the job also but not as clean.

If you need some help finding them, let me know.

yes there are 3 ways.

1- go to www.apple.com and buy a mac.

2- install linux and never use windows again

3- download spybot search and destroy, clean up the mess you mad, and then downlaod firefox and never us IE again.

dear thats a fake website and likely spyWARE itself. the real one is

http://www.safer-networking.org/

the falling quote is from a real spy bot website.

For the past two weeks, I got massive complaints from people who saw recommendations for Spybot-S&D on some TV show or heard about it on radio, and tried to go for it through the TV/radios website. Somehow, a bad link to Spybot-S&D is in its way and leading people to think that SpyHunter or SpyKiller would be the recommended Spybot-S&D. People downloading these two are forced to pay to remove spyware, and in the case of SpyKiller are even directed to us for support!

So my warning: please double-check what you've got before you pay anything!

Also, if you were mislead to SpyHunter or SpyKiller through Google AdWords, please contact Google. Google promised me some weeks ago they wouldn't do any more advertisement on my trademarked name "spybot", but I again receive complaints that they do, and this struggle with Google is going on for 4 months now.

Update: I cannot recommend to use the Google search engine any more (seing how many pushed unwanted search results appear on nearly every common term, other search engines have become more efficient in my opinion anyway). Therefore I've written a small search plugin for Mozilla/Firebird/Firefox which allows to search through Altavista. My archive of search plugins can be downloaded here. Just unzip this file into your C:\Programme\mozilla.org\mozilla version\searchplugins\ folder.

You are correct. I was just about to make the same warning. Here's the link straight from Microsoft's website.

I got a nasty attack from the msbb.exe and 180solutions. You can't even go into Add/Remove programs to get rid of it. I searched my hard drive for msbb.exe and deleted it, and it reappears again and again. I had at least 20 pop-ups an hour.

Spybot got rid of it and it doesn't come back up when I search my hard drive.

I really really hate spyware.
