Now If just Mandula reaches the semis the winner of that match (Iveta vs Petra) should be considered clearly the favorite to win the tournament over any player from the top side of the draw
I wish I could see it :(

The first match Pennetta vs. Mamic was quite long. Pennetta started better took an early break went 2-0 up then broke again it was 5-2 to her. Mamic made a lot of unforced errors, Flavia played consistant, but had some problems finishing the set, Mamic almost came back to 5-5, but finally Pennetta could close it out.
At the start of the second set Mamic got free, played much better tennis, got a break, Flavia was in a deep downturn, missed a lot, Mamic took the second set 6-2.
In the final set Flavia was over the bad period, played a lot better, Mamic seemed very tired, many times she didn't try to reach the balls at all. Pennetta took the deciding set easily 6-2. The match was about 1 hour 50 mins.
Match Two: Benesova's left thigh was heavily taped, but the injury didn't seem on her game at all. The first 5 games went against the serve, after that Iveta won 7 games in a row. Kapros made many errors, didn't move well, Benesova hit very long, deep balls close to the baseline, Anikó's shots were short they landed around the service line. At 6-2 4-0, Anikó started moonballing which for a short time changed the rhythm of the play, she could hold her servicegame first and only time the match, but in long-term the picture of the game didn't vary. 6-2 6-1 for Benesova.
After that Mandula and Sucha came onto the court. In the beginning there were quite many unforced errors, very long rallies and games, about 5-6 deuces in every game. Later the unforced errors cut down, the quality of the game climbed, but the games stayed very tight, Sucha got the first break and went 4-2 up, Mandula broke back, then at 4-3 saved about 4 breakpoints and levelled after yet anouther marathon game to 4-all. At 5-5 Petra managed to break again a very hard fougt game, she was first time ahead in the best moment. The easiest service game was the last one in the opening set, when Petra served it out at love. The set lasted over an hour.
At this time many people from the crowd were saying that the 2nd set would be fast for Petra now...
Didn't happeden. Sucha got an early break, Petra made a lot of unforced errors (also stupid dropshots again), Mandula got nervois, was shouting. Sucha went 5-1 up (it seemed Petra gifted to her the set) and served for the set, one break back for Petra, but got broken again in the next game...
How the final set occured that is quite though to explain and also believe.
Petra broke Sucha's serve in a very hardfought game then lost her own service at love... At 1-1 excatly repeated the same thing!! (Break in a long game, lost at love.) I told you you won't believe it. Plus at 2-2 Petra missed 4 more breakpoints (including a triple), then two easy holds and a 4-3 Sucha got a break again in a tight game. Sucha served for the place in the semis at 5-3 if you believe or not there was yet another 0/40, but slovak girl saved all of the breakpoints, and won her first matchpoint with a forehand down-the-line. Match time 2.15
The singles matches took so long, that's why the doubles semi would have been scheduled to an outside court parallel, so I decided to go there, and come back later for the last quarter.
Benesova didn't wore the tape on her leg now, the match started very well, good points from both, then at 1-1 Kurhajcova got broken, and they immediately called for the trainer (at this time the speculation in the crowd started that Benesova wants to give up the doubles b/c of her singles semi), but the match continued, the broke back on Szávay's serve, then the young Hungarian girls with their free fighting spirit broke Benesova's serve in a very long game, and the shez-sjovak team gave up at this point...
Back to the Centre Court, the opening set just finished with 6-0. Jankovic took the next 3 games quite quickly with very hard shots, Cervanova made many errors, and asked for the trainer at 0-3. She had some leg injury, but played further which is respectable, but moved very bad, she hardly went for the balls, spiritually gave up the hopeless 'battle'.
