Schiavone has a good serve - if you look at her stats at tournaments when we get them you will find that she has matched Serena in speed in some matches and she puts work on it too. Francesca's problem is that she can break the top 5 but her serve goes AWOL for complete games and they get back in - until today.

Belief in computer probability is an American thing but I would have thought that a 74 percent probability would mean that a Schiavone win was hardly unexpected? If you had a 74% chance of returning alive if you left your house in the morning you would stay in wouldn't you?
