Portugal withdrew

Our team was: Piedade, Silva, Nogueira, De Lattre.

Magali De Lattre was injured and didn't go. Frederica played in Mexico last week and will play again this week and only yesterday let the Portuguese Federation know that she wouldn't play in Fed Cup after Ana, Neuza and Portugal coach were already in Malta  The ITF doesn't allow Portugal to play with only 2 players, so they still tried to make Katia Rodrigues come to Malta, but she has a club competiton in The Netherlands that she can't miss. Then, they offered a plane ticket from Mexico to Malta for Frederica but her father told them that she wouldn't play anyway. They are really mad with Frederica.

With all this Portugal will go to group 3  :o

Kremer and Schaul play Fed Cup group 2

In 2003 Anne and Claudine were both injured and Luxembourg was relegated to group II.
If Anne and Claudine want to play one day in the World Group, they have to give a help to the team to be promoted this as well as next year.

Great team spirit from both girls, good luck this week :)

country they of just brought out a total random? even if they get hammered doesn't matter. she wouldn't even have to of played. lol, coaces wife if he took her out? lol :p

Also, where is Piia Suomalainen?
Didn´t make the team, Emma is 1., Essi good in doubles so 3rd choice player was either Carina or Pia. I think Carina is better of them so right choice in that light.

I thought you could have a maximum of 4? In which case, why not take Piia for singles reserve so she could have taken Emma's place.
