On the familycirclecup.com website it says that JHH has withdrawn from the tournament due to low sugar levels that make her light-headed - she will next play at the German Open. So get better soon Justine.

Also Meghann Shaughnessy has withdrawn from the tournament also - though it is unclear whether she actually played Shinobu Asagoe and won and then withdrew. Can anyone clear this up?

Jidkova replaces Shaugnessy. (Cam'ron Giles called them and found out)
Perry replaces Justine. (Perry will face Kostanic)

So does that mean Alina Jidkova playe Shinobu tonight and win? As Meghann's name was on the live scoreboard!

Well the top-half of the draw has opened up a bit:

Now Sprem can easily get through to the quarters having an easy passage facing Randriandeffy and then possibly Perry maybe. It could give a chance for Sprem or Jenny C to make the semis, if Jenny C makes the quarters (having to face possible Lina Krasnoroutskya and Dokic)
