Well...I like her. She's very charming. I'll double Jinx you just for
fun, and for those Russian tennis fans like Eggy and Co.

GO SERENA! She'll win...For Sure!! ;)

:rolls: Wasn't that "250,000" the most hysterical thread ever?.
Talk about shooting your player in the foot! Oh...gawd! :tape:

Talk about shooting your player in the foot! Oh...gawd! :tape: Actually, it was started by an anti-williams fan.

Anyways, I am now scared this thread will backfire on me. Jinxing could be such a tricky thing and if not handled properly, it could explode in my face.

Who started the now infamous "250,000" thread? A hardcore fan or
a jinxer?

I think a jinxer.

May be we just know that there is more to this world than the physical world, may be there is a jinx goddess waiting to count how many people predicted a win by one player or the other and rearranging the winner based on our vote - sort of like American Idol. Don't ridicule our believe system as we didn't ridicule yours.

The first 250,000 to 1 thread was started by someone else. I just kept a good thing going!

Elena has a 1 in 250,000 chance of beating Serena.
You can cut and paste it!

You are right, ofcourse, in the traditional definition of belief: a belief has to have numerous commandments, which are often contradictory, and the jinx belief system has only one commandment: "Thou shalt not predict your fave to win". Nonetheless, a lot of people still believe in jinx because it makes them feel that they are contributing to the tennis match. And, isn't that the most important point of any belief system -to make people feel more important than they are?
