Jelena OWNS Dementieva, i think the last win Elena had was the olympics semifinals, back in 2000:eek: both girls aren't playing so great, but I think Jelena will win this, in 3 sets (as all her wins over Elena are 3 sets) both their serves aren't great (DF count is horrendous for both) but Dokic can punish Elena's weak second serves. hopefully it isn't an errors fest:scared:

Dementieva should win, but I dont know Dokic is kinda a bad opponent for her.

Interesting choice for me as both of these girls are my 2 top favs in the wta. Before Hingis retired these two were my #2 & #3 favs, now they are # 1 & # 2. I would have loved for both of them to have met later especially like in the finals, but the draw is what it is. I think I will have to go with Elena, as I do feel that she can do more damage then Jelena at this point in time. I know that both are not playing their best, but I think Elena can improve and focus to a greater degree than Jelena for the remaining time of this tournament. Best of luck to both girls, but I want Elana to win as her confidence needs to build now for her Amelia Island defence coming up soon.:kiss: to both my girls.

it will be tough. but Jelena despite all UE had 36 winners and few aces-she is improving isn't she. She always had problems with UE but somehow managed to win. It will be interesting. Dementieva will probably smash her in first, but next 2 will be very interesting. i'd go for jelena 1-6 7-5 7-5

Dokic really does have a mental hold on Elena, the last time they played was in Charleston where Jelena won 7-5 in the third.

Since then Jelena has gone down and Elena has won 3 titles and is a Top 10 player.

If Elena really is back from her injury, she should win. I really don't know who at this point in time but goooooooo Elena! :D
