y r we better at doubles?

Not really

just always handy to play doubles at these events for extra practice and money . . obviously some people can make a living just out of doubles but most of these girls just play doubles cause they are playing singles at the same events.

Although people like Stubbs, Musgrave, Mcshea just to name a few tend to specialise in doubles. But Molik, Pratt and Stosur also play doubs and have done quite well in certain events

May 7th, 2004, 10:56 AM
I have seen a few challengers and there is nothin between the girls in doubles at this stage . . . . variances and factors could include on/off days, weather, fitness/schedule , tiredness , style of game

One team could be on fire and the other one might not . . . but as i said most of the girls are abot the same standard

Doubles is all very well and good...I mean, it helps their singles game (here's hoping  ), gives them more money etc, but at the end of the day it is singles that is the bread and butter (or should be) for players like Kriz and Adamczak...so yes, well done on the doubles, but am still very disappointed that Monique in particular is going backwards with her singles this year. So frustrating to see a player with so much talent, ranked where she is.
