I think having 25 Russina's in the WTA rankings will be possible in a couple of years. :) But 40 is pushing it.

Cat........ i said in about 10 yrs ;)

ok here's a few more names :)

Maria Kirilenko :)
Galina Voskovboeva (i'm sure she can stick and hang around the 70-100 mark)
Anna Chakvetadze :)
Eugenia Linetskaya :)
Alisa Kleybanova :)

who knows Anna B might come good again (on right road)
then Tatiana Panova will be back in 100
Anna K might return ;)

some ones you're not too familiar with (a bit early but i got high hopes)
Regina Kulikova
Evgenia Grebenyuk

It's vital to get into the top 100 so they can afford to travel to tournaments.
These girls need to find a good doubles partner. There is good money there.
You have to find someone who can serve well.
And play doubles and mixed at the majors. Nastya R. reached the Wimbledon final in mixed.

Has Masha Goloviznina retired? Gave up? Injuries? Pregnancy?

Masha is back playing again (after probably injury reason)
she's been playing USTA challengers

made Semis last week, and lost in qualies of 75k the week before.

good to see her back :)

Yep. I hope she takes a serious attempt to get into Top 100 this time. She was quite close to that ( was ranked around 130, right?) some time ago, but still was playing very little.

I think Maria Kirlenko will be the fastest Russian riser to the top 100 soon :)

Do you see either Evgenia Kulikovskaya or Anastassia Rodionova improving much in the next few years? Say either one reaching the Top 100? I know that Kulikovskaya reached the Top 100....didn't know if she had the talent to return there.
Just curious to see what you think.

improving not so  , but having more confidence by winning a few Challenger matches will see ranks go up, right now both having a bad time .
