:haha: when smbdy say playing mixed with Martina - i will thinking abt Hingis first (if it is not Paes or another Tennis GrandDad )

exactly :o

it doesnt matter which Martina Bob means, most important is he loses early :)
he could have also meant Martina Sucha

Doubles Firt Round
Dechy/Zvonareva (FRA/RUS) v Nakamura/Morigami (JPN/JPN)

doable :)

So it's not going to be chucky grin
playing with old Bob cheesy smile
but a grumpy old woman
who's played for more than a while
I hope they don't try to belly bump
because I've heard reports
that it wont work
because of her tight wedgy shorts
I wish Bepa would play mixed
with Raphael Nadal
that would stop Chucky grinning
and make Cheesy Bob Bryan snarl

Now I read nice Nat.is partnering Bepa in doubles
will this be good for Bepa,or just add to her troubles?
when I first thought about it
the combination seemed queer
but they played each other six times the other year
so pairing this different natured duo
is full of some dangers
they have faced each other so often
they can hardly be strangers
most seem to think Nat's an improvement on Tu
I think they will give it a good go,don't you?

It must be nice for Dechy to have Bepa on her side of the net for once :tape:

Actually, now I understand it!

Dechy is playing doubles with Bepa so that they can train together and she can study Bepa's game in order devise a plan to defeat Bepa the next time they play . That's not going to work :nerner:

I like the draw :yeah:

Oh, thats so frustrating that her rank has dropped so low, i could only afford to go down for one day and when she was up the top of the rankings, she was guaranteed to play Wednesday.

Now, she could play either Monday or Tuesday! I just know i'd end up picking the wrong day!

I would like to go the Wednesday as it doesnt clash with an England match in the World Cup, but i fear that Vera might lose and my trip would be totally wasted!

She is the only reason i ever go to any tennis tournaments, without her, i'd just be bored and most likely not even bother going, meaning lots of money wasted!

Did you notice during the coverage of the Bepa/Dinara match they showed a boyhttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v664/kahu/bepsuk.jpg Ithought it was a meltdown sign but didn't happen, also when I read Bepa was going to play mixed with a ram, knowing the habits of male sheep, and a ram being a slang term for acertain randy type of male, I was worried to say the least. Now that I have learned she is playing with Andy Ram,and not a Randy Ram,I am very relieved.

Do we blame both of them for this loss?
that they couldn't win the slam
or do we lay it in one big lump
at the feet of mister Ram
we have a method of fixing here
if a young ram can't do his thing
we just make them two stone lighter
with the help of a rubber ring
Andy will jump around for a bit
but once the circulation has stopped
there will no further pain
from the two balls that he's dropped
so by the time wimbledon comes around
if they get their act together
the mixed doubles winning team
will read V. Zvonareva and A. Whether

Oh, i so wish i'd gone to Birmingham today, 2 matches in one day and shes out on court 3 so thats very upclose and personal! Wouldnt it be great if we could turn back time! :)

Second match was as good as the first 6/1 6/2! Shame to see her get broken when serving for the match but surely that must give Vera a real lift! Now she just has to go and do the same against a fairly decent player and we could see some real confidence gained from this tournament!

Birmingham could be the tournament that starts the turnaround in her career. Fingers crossed! :) I really need Vera up the rankings again so i know shes guaranteed to be playing Wednesdays at every tournament again! :D

I know, but im in a position where i have to get tickets way before the tournament has started because its quite a way for me to travel to get there so i would need to stay overnight. I couldnt just hope that Vera would still be in the tournament come Wednesday cause if she had gone out, it would have just been a terrible day. I have no interest in watching any of the other girls play. I would simply have only gone to watch Vera play. I just couldnt take that chance as it was gonna cost me quite alot of money to go. Im also put off from going quite alot as none of my friends like tennis so i always end up going to tournaments alone which can get quite boring if your staying overnight!

Once shes back up the rankings and shes back in the position of getting 1st round byes again, i can plan ahead and book early as every 2nd round match starts on a Wednesday.

A report (http://wtaworld.com/showthread.php?t=242648) on Day 3 from the GM forum The other matches I saw all of (simultaneously) was Bartoli-Matteck, and Vera-Sucha. Have to say I am so impressed with Vera - she still looks like she is playing the best tennis here - such sensible shots and serving and she is smiling lots and laughing when she makes mistakes which is good! I rate her chances of reaching the final! To be honest Sucha didn't bring much to the court today.:yippee:, but I hope this isn't like Auckland :tape:

Nah, let's be positive :D. I really hope this means that Bepa is finally enjoying her tennis  and with it will come great results

Another report (http://wtaworld.com/showthread.php?t=242340) from Day 3 I ended up watching Vera steamroll Sucha for the entirety of the match! Although it was one-sided, Vera was smoking so it was entertaining to watch (her tennis wasn't bad either  j/k). Seriously though, Vera is my pick for the final as long as she keeps her head screwed on the right way ;) I suppose, in fairness, she hasn't really been tested yet - Sucha doesn't really have any weapons as such, nothing to challenge Vera. Kremer was much the same although she did run a lot of balls down which would have tested Vera's patience and shot selecting :)This is the second report in which someone has tipped Bepa to make the final

Wow! What a great day for Vera and all her fans! These were 2 very impressive wins from a girl with low confidence. Wow, Vera! :worship: An excellent win! That first set was a squeaker -- to look at the stats you'd have thought Anna won it. But Bepa had 2 BPs, and won that set by 2 pts. She tightened up her performance in the 2nd set stats for a solid win.

BEPA.................... 1st Set ................... 2nd Set
1st Serve % ............ 69% ...................... 50%
1st Serve Pts won . 19/29=66% .............. 9/12=75%
2nd Serve Pts won . 6/13=46% .............. 8/12=67%
Recv Pts won ........ 13/32=41% ............ 11/20=38%
BPs ......................... 2/2 ..................... 2/2
DFs ........................... 2 ......................... 1

Anna's 2nd serve pts won decreased from 4/6 to 2/5.

Keep it going, Bepa!! Good luck against Schiavone!
