Hey fans! Is it possible that there is more than one A. Wadjaja in tennis? I got the autograph of A. Wadjaja who was a junior at Roland Garros, the French Open in 2002. At that time i dont think she was particularly known. Now i want to find out if its actually her. When did she become a pro and become so good. Please let me know your insights. thanks again, paul

She's in the top 100 though i think. Have you heard of another woman with the same first initial and same last name? Its gotta be her then....

Angelique Widjaja from Indonesia, is currently ranked #120 in the world. She just turned 19. As was already mentioned, she has won 2 WTA singles titles, and 2 doubles titles. She achieved her highest ranking (#55) about a year ago, on March 31, 2003. There is another Widjaja (Jenifer) from Brazil, currently ranked #492. All of this info can easily be looked up on the WTA Tour web site (wtatour.com). Below is a picture of Angelique taken in Los Angeles in 2002.

Yeah, i got her autograph too during a fans' session and she's really nice... her notable achievements were when she reached 3 QFs in doubles grand slams in the past year(including this yr's aussie open)... and she's won 2 singles and 2 doubles titles in her career...

It's Widjaja.

And there is another Widjaja on tour ... but she's ranked about #500 and is not related to Angie Widjaja.

For someone who said Angelique Widjaja is Nothing really notable...sorry mate you were wrong :)

Even though on Single, she has NOT achieved quite remarkable result for the past 6 months (becasue she is struggling with her foot injury)

BUT currently she is Rank 15 (Doubles) :)

Watch out for her when she is on her good form ;)
