Beating Pierce and Klijsters in teh same tournament? No. ANd better for her because if she wins here, the presure will crush here later. It's better in a slower, safer way. She's not Hingis and the power of the girls today is terrible.

How can everybody forget?. Justine won Antwerp back in 1999 at 16
when the event was played in May as a clay tournament.

Antwerp was not a tier II when she won it, however, which was the point of the thread ;)

Antwerp didn't become a tier II until 2002 when it became the Proximus Diamond Games.

I doubt Golovin could do it ... and I agree with alfons about the need for a slow burn. That's why I was rooting for her to lose to Lisa in Australia ... I knew it was a draw she might be able to sneak into the SF with. We didn't need another Stevenson-like major SF and collapse, now did we?

That said, why shouldn't she be able to defeat Mary? ;)

Mary is BACK...and thats the only reason that matters to me at least
