From what I can tell, she has a good serve for such a young girl.
She consistently hits serves harder than 170 KPH.
She's a righthander and has a double-handed backhand.
She stays at the baseline most of the time, trying to outrally, but not overpower the opponent.
She's quite consistent, although can come up with some silly errors and she has good movement.
Her shots are flat, kind of like Nathalie Dechy's.

I think Elena will still win this match.
Elena is just the more experienced and better player at this time.

this is a very close match ... but serve makes all the difference between the two... tati can hold more easily and elena struggles to get it in... man if elena had a good serve ... the possibilities would be endless

Elena hasn't played well this year. She'll pull things together on clay after Miami.

Is Elena nervous playing a girl so young? She has played Maria Sharapova 3 times so she should be used to playing a 16 year old girl. But Tatiana Golovin has Elena on the ropes in this match.

Congrats to Tatiana. :) But Elena has to be so hurt to be routined by a 16 year old and serve 10 double faults in the process.
