I just hope it's not like Tokyo. What a bad week for injuries! Way too many walkovers! Here's to a healthy February for the WTA!

This is hilarious. Really? Oh God. It's another ABF(All Belgian Final).
It's the Kimmy and Juju show plus other guests.

Do you think VIGGEN and I can enter this event? :haha:

What???? Elke Clijsters is doubtful for this tournament??? Nooooooo!!!!! Please, anyone but Elke. This tournament needs her. If she pulls out, tennis is dead to me.

great smash

Though things are pretty bad these days with injuries, isn't that was happens nearly all the time?

They announce the strongest field ever, as they compare it to the field that actually showed up in the previous years.

Last year Amelie was a late withdrawl as well (not blaiming her, that just the way things go)

Venus will want to try for the diamond racket, but as always, no Williams sister is a sure thing in a match til she shows up. (When Venus Williams is your favorite player, you have to learn to live with this. At least she never shows up fat.)

im having 2nd thoughts about ms Venus entering in this event...
I dont think that one and a half week if enought for her to heal up and prepare as hard as she wanted to, to beat the likes of kim and justine.

I wouldnt be surprise is she didnt show up...
but I dont think that shes scared for the competition anyway...
so... she will show up.. and get that racket..

There are still good players that can show very good tennis. Of course if you need all the time Serena or Justine to have a decent draw, I feel sorry for you.

I'm sure Venus will be back to defend her title and get that diamond racket.

Well it still has some promise, with Kim and Justine in it. And Venus is still a question mark. Although I think she should have learned by now that you must heal first and then comeback. I want to see her get that racket, but what good will it do to win that and then be out the rest of the year?

Chanda was never entered. She was either going to take a WC at Memphis or play in Dubai the next week.

Ai should be fine. She was sickish in Tokyo, and she still played her matches.

Dokic should be good to go too.

Venus is a little more doubtful, but as Volcana said, she wants that diamond racket. Expect her to make every effort.

The organizers are thinking about asking Chanda to replace Mauresmo if Amélie can't play.

Yes, she's injured but I think that she will try everything to be there, the Antwerpen tournament means a lot to her.

Somehow i feel like the only reason elke is ranked so high is cuz she gets WC in to tournaments cuz shes in the limelight of her sis

Wow, what a strange thought

Wouldn't Elke get more points playing qualifying than she would losing first round?

Anyway, I think that Venus really wants the diamond racket badly, and I expect her to show up and give her all for it.

I am a bit dissappointed, so many players withdrawing. every time I thought it couldn't get any worse another one withdraws :-((
I hope they get Daniela and dokic to play, after all daniela has to defend her semi final from last year...

I think Venus will try and play.. but not sure whether she will be able to...
its not worth it for her to hurt herself further.. even for a diamond racquet.
