GEEEZZ this youngsters  :p
Testud is indeed a French tennis player from Lyon who would be seeded third ( I don't have it sure neither, Rhythmboy) because of something related to a maternity special ranking I think :o

I donīt think special entry automatically means special seeding. I think itīs still unkown how theyīll treat Sandrine in that respect.

For so much I like Elena to be a #2 seed in a Tier 2, her chances of living up to her seeding are slim :(

Why ???

The highest-ranked opponent Sandrine could get in round 1 is Anna Smashnova, so the draw won't make much of the difference. It really depends on how well Sandrine is playing. And according to results in Ortisei she will have a hard time against anyone (except Alex maybe ;)).

Why should Stevenson get a gold exempt :(

I wasn't sure how that worked.

I admit Sandrine is not match tough and any opponent will be an obstacle at this point but I'd still prefer if she draw a Q or LL in the first round as opposed to a high ranking player.

she hasn't withdrawn. in her post match interview, she said she's gonna take a few days off, but not pull out of tournaments, so she's in. put her in the seeds list:wavey:

however, she was 2nd in line to the main draw behind patty, maybe no one else withdrew?

otherwise, if she is fit, and someone else did withdraw, go jelena :D

Jelena should be 4th seed if she entered, so she won't have to play until Thursday... if the injury isn't really bad 5 days rest might be enough...

We definitely know of 2 withdrawals: Amelie and Serena.
So Dokic surely got in.

The fact that Vento-Kabchi is not playing in qualifying suggest that either she withdrew, or 2 more MD players pulled out, b/c she was only 4th in "next in maindraw" list, behind Schnyder, Dokic and Maleeva.

According to her own words from this article Jelena will not pull out from Paris
