I think Anastasia Myskina has a shot at the semifinals. I am looking at the score of the Kim/Silvia match and though Kim is winning, she is not playing as well as she has played in week one, like I said she wouldn't. If she wins her match, and I expect her to, she's better pull herself together becuase Anastasia could sneak into the semifinals.

If Anastasia could get her serve nearer to the standard of her ground strokes:worship: she would be difficult to keep out of any GS SF (and this year the final itself is very near to the winner of her QF) That was really classy today.:bigclap: :bigclap::bigclap: QF Could be interesting and should be one of the best matches.

Kim is still favourite but she doesn't look invincible and Justine looked even less convincing yesterday and we know who beat both of them last year.

Yep...Kim sure got SOME match on her hands against Myskina. For sure...and her play wasnŽt all that hot today. Should be good.

She plays Kim in the quarterfinals. The way Kim played today leads me to believe that she can be challenged by Anastasia and beaten.

I still think Kim will get to the final.

Kim has major issues with Farina-Elia..this is the first time that they've played a match that hasn't gone to 3 sets :p

So I'm rather happy with a straight sets win ;) Anyhoo Kim knows what needs to happen against Myskina..no easy task, but I still think she can do it.

not if Myskina is throwing in 2nd serves at 65 mph's ....Kim's going to feast on those..

And Anastasia played so great? To have so much of a chance? Winning 36% first serves in and tons of unforced errors? She had a horrible ratio of -23 against Sharapova. Kim ratio today was +4, 23 winners to 19 unforced errors, not too shabby. And S.F. Elia always gave fits to Kim, she took a set off of her at Rolan Garros, and I think all their encounters went to three sets.

Against Chanda Myskina had 42 winners compared to 29UE, which is better ratio than Kim's today....
Kim is gonna have to wait for her first Grand Slam till Rolland Garros, I guess

Weren't you one of the people moaning on and on about people saying Lisa had no chance against Venus and that Venus would win the whole thing? Weren't you so against all this gloating?

Me thinks you need a dictionary, turn it to the H section and read through it. The word that applies to you isn't hard to miss.

If Kim played well against Farina and won 6-3 6-3, I wouldn't be worried. Why worry if she plays poorly and wins by the same score. Sounds like wishful thinking from some people.

Nastya is the most underrated of the Russian players. She's the best Russian, and nobody gives her recognition for it. But, even if Nastya was the best player in the world, all the attention goes to Anna Porn.

However, it's sad that the 2nd best Belgian player is much better than Russia's #1...

I think we all know the real reason she is the most underrated Russian, she isn't blonde. ;) I actually think she is almost as good a player as Kim but she isn't as mentally tough as Kim is.

I am really starting to like Nastya...she's a lil' fireball with a great baseline game. It seems so weird that she hits so well, cuz she seems rather delicate, but I love her fiestyness.

Kim leads their head-to-head. Nastya only beat Kim twice in Leipzig (once with injury this year), and Wimbly when Kim was just a youngin'. Kim had to beat her a heck of a lot more times.

well, bandabou, not by much?u gotta be kidding!she wasnt even UP on kim when kim retired!in fact, she was a set DOWN and tied in the 2nd.

but anything can happen.

Hmm I wonder what you'd be crowing if Kim lost and people were celebrating? Hmm or perhaps picking apart her interview, like you did to Venus'? For some bizarre reason accusing Venus of faking her after match interview.

You were quick to join bovinasboyfriend and diya in the Venus bashing weren't you??

You're only proving my point. LOL do you police everyone's interviews? I'm sure if you find Serena's interviews so offensive you would certainly have harassed Hingis just as much, Dokic maybe??, Kournikova? Stevenson??? Why no bashing at any of them??
