Obviously no, many many Russians have won tournaments, Myskina has reached several QF in grandslams, Dementieva has been at SF and won several tournaments.

I think she has the game equal to that of dementieva or myskina. We just have to wait and see how good she is when she gets back. I cant wait till march!! :bounce:

SF Wimbledon
F Miami Hilton Head & Moscow
Wins over most of the top players
Top 10
Doubles Grand Slams
#1 in doubles

Who knows, i would prefer Anna's results over most of the other russians yet... Though there are not singles titles.

Myskina is #7. Dementieva is #8. Anna was #8.
All three are 22 and from Moscow.

I think Myskina´s already been posting much more consistent results than Anna´s ever had and saw Maria play against Myskina.....hmm, in a few years no one will even remember Anna.

no one will ever forget anna...you can be sure of that...I think that had it not been for her stress fracture in 2000-2001, she would have ruled. Still, i wouldn't call her results poor...I would still say she is the best russian

anna might have started it all and i doubt she will be forgotten but in my opinion she is not the best russian at all.

By The Time they're 22, Sharky and Vika will probably have a couple of Slams (or more) the Vera's @ least some Tier I and II's, same re. Nadia, Sveta a ??? Lena Less Likely, though other Elena late bloomer. I find Goldy's "Anger About Anyone Asking" unrealistic.

No player is "entitled" to anything Re. Results OR not suffering injuries. I mean Lina (aka Baby Blue Eyes  ) seems 2B "stuck in neutral" and I accept it as part of sports: your faves DON'T always succeed!

Ruled as in how exactly?!

Bottom-line is that there already many Russians who have AND titles AND the odd GS-semi, soo the one edge people may think Anna has....isn´t there anymore.

We can discuss about talent all day, but if you don´t win....you didn´t.

Anna K is not the best Russian these days.

It's not too late for her to change that though.
